Deuteronomy consists of Moses’s final address to the Hebrew people, including a summery of their history, and a reminder of the ordinances. Many new themes are introduced, including the focus on centralized worship and the inclusion of more humanitarian concerns in the ordinances. It ends with Moses’s death at the border of the Promised Land.
