First and Second Chronicles reviews the history of Judah from David to the Babylonian conquest, including a number of genealogies from Genesis and other sources. Much of the narrative covers the same ground as 1-2 Samuel and 1-2 Kings, but with some details from other sources and written with a different purpose.
